Thirty years of sharp
software.

A personal encyclopedia of tools built under the SADE brand (since 1998), then V-Softs. Some are still published, others fed into what I build today. None of them was wasted effort.

Published tools

The ones that truly mattered.

1995 →

Visual Dialogscript SADE · dialogscript.com

Co-created with Julian Moss (MIT). A complete, production-oriented Windows scripting language with a declarative GUI dialog engine. Used internally by the UN, HP Palo Alto, IBM, BP Oil and several hundred other organizations. Still published today — the technical cornerstone of everything that followed.

⤷ The legacy site dialogscript.com is still online, its period look fully embraced. A redesign is planned with a new release.
1998

PMS 98SADE

Pack Maintenance et Sécurité 98 (Maintenance & Security Pack 98) for Windows. A suite of diagnostic, cleanup and hardening tools, distributed under the SADE brand via sade.net/logiciels/pms98/. My first in-house licensing framework — Windows registry, copyright/registration screens, license validity — reused on dozens of products afterwards.

1998

DBCgiSADE

A complete Win32 CGI framework with a built-in relational database engine. The first and only web relational engine built entirely on strings — true to my vision: “almost everything can be boiled down to strings”. Designed to run business web applications on Windows at a time when everyone was chasing PHP/MySQL. Visionary — an application monolith before the word was fashionable.

⤷ Still in production today — it is the underlying engine of GWeb (2000) and then V-Fact (2026). Twenty-eight years of unbroken technical lineage.
1998

FormMail Win32SADE

A native Windows rewrite of the famous Linux FormMail, with built-in anti-spam features. Used on thousands of sites as an email form gateway at a time when every webmaster was reinventing their own.

2005 →

FrozenSpam V-Softs · frozenspam.com

The Mailinblack equivalent, built for SmarterMail — the Windows mail server. Fingerprint-based anti-spam filter, challenge-response, finely managed allow/block lists, native SmarterMail plug-in. Still in production with its current users — a more modern release is in the works.

⤷ Aimed at a native English-speaking audience — the French user base stayed marginal (out of a preference for "made elsewhere").
1993 — 2003

Everywhere AccessSADE

A dynamic cache service with on-the-fly compression to optimize mobile connections in low-coverage areas. Built as part of the in-store advertising computer systems for Galeries Lafayette, Nouvelles Galeries, Atac, Intermarché, Champion.

2000

GWebSADE

A fully integrated online management web platform, written with DBCgi. Integrations with CFONB and ETEBAC (French banking standards), bandwidth, usage, deduplication and fixvdb modules, automated report generation. A complete business suite at a time when SaaS did not exist yet — and SaaS itself would invent nothing beyond its marketing packaging.

⤷ Direct ancestor of V-Fact (2026). Online management doesn't date from the Cloud; it dates from GWeb.
2003 — 2006

Toulouse DatacenterMission

Study, design, build and operation of the largest multi-carrier datacenter in Midi-Pyrénées. In parallel, research into connected villages within a European project supervised by CNES. Not a published product, but proof of infrastructure-scale capability.

2008 — 2011

EcoFone / Eco-TelecomMission

Study and design of switchless communication equipment for a telephone carrier. Re-engineering of the routing layer for lower-footprint telecom architectures. Hardware + firmware + software tooling.

2010

V-ProtectV-Softs

A Windows antivirus built on the ClamAV engine + MBR protection (MBRWiz). Not a surface-level wrapper — genuine defense in depth, signature updates included, granular control. Still distributed.

2014 — 2019

Secure mobile terminalsMission

Built mobile terminals meeting the most demanding security standards. Hand-picked hardware, hardened firmware, custom embedded software. Know-how that now shapes my approach to V-Shield and V-IpBan.

2019 →

DeskSMSV-Softs

A personal tool for sending and receiving text messages from the Windows desktop. Used in-house every day since 2019.

⤷ Its source code became the foundation of ACME's bulk SMS sending engine (acme-sas.com) — a fine example of the philosophy: everything can be boiled down to strings, imagination does the rest.
2021

ChiaSuiteV-Softs

A suite of tools for plotting and managing Chia farms during that cryptocurrency's boom. Plotcopy, monitoring, automation. Kept as a witness of its era.

Also worth mentioning

A personal encyclopedia.

The following tools also passed through my hands, at varying degrees of industrialization. Some stayed in-house, others were distributed to wider or narrower circles. What they all share is that they were actually finished — not prototypes left hanging.

V-Lock — workstation locking for shared environments.

V-SecDesk — kiosk-mode Windows desktop for public terminals.

V-IPMonitor — IP and connectivity monitoring with alerts.

V-UNC Drives — consistent network drive management across Windows infrastructure.

VStrings — utility for extracting and manipulating strings in binaries.

SignCode — code-signing tool for the clean distribution of executables.

ZeroSSL — tooling for automated SSL/TLS certificate management.

License Server + VDS License Server — license servers for SADE/V-Softs products.

VMBackup — automated virtual machine backup.

winfixit — Windows repair kit for broken-down workstations.

Game Monitor — process and performance monitoring for gaming environments.

MGA Trasher — cleanup tool for Microsoft products activated under Genuine Advantage.

Advanced Server Controller — multi-service controller for Windows Server.

CTB, 2see, Dbank, EVA, Regsys, ace, burn — more confidential tools, largely in-house.

Some thirty tools.
One single hand.

The past is not a museum — it is the soil in which what I build today takes root. If one of these tools resonates with a current need, let's talk.
